DESIGN OF THE EXHIBITION “Design is the Message” at Stilwerk Berlin, designed for the German Design Council. “Design is the Message” takes up the idea of American media theorist Marshall McLuhan: the medium is the message. It is through design as an interface that people can gain access to innovative technology. Five thematic booths visualize factors that currently influence the design of the interfaces.
The key to our spatial design concept is to look at design as a whole but also to consider specifics. We present a large 3D puzzle, as a powerful evocation of the relationship between the whole and the parts.
These abstract, crystalline shapes show the possibility of adaptation, change and growth.
